Your Pet's Crib

Carol Ann's Blog - October 27, 2008

If you found yourself at this web site then you must be a dog lover; I know I am. I can’t remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a dog running around in our home, each one having their own personality and giving me memories that I will cherish forever.

If you’re like us, we consider our dogs as part of the family; we give them love, a safe home and a healthy happy life, and in return they give us unconditional love, devotion, and companionship. It‘s great to come home and know that you’ll be greeted by your best friend.

Unfortunately not all of the dogs out there are as lucky as ours and it breaks my heart as I’m sure it breaks yours. Every once in a while you stumble across something good and I want to share with you an organization that I came across that devotes so much of their time and resource to help those dogs who want and need good loving homes.

The organization I am talking about is the Gulfstream Guardian Angles Rottweiler Rescue. This group is devoted to helping as many misplaced Rottweilers as possible. They take unwanted and abandon Rottweilers and provide housing for them at a local veterinary clinic until they are adopted. You can imagine the cost to provide this housing and medical attention for these dogs. The Guardian Angels had their annual fundraiser this past weekend. The event was successful but failed to raise the money needed to carry the group to next October.

If any of you could provide a home or know of someone who could provide a home to one of these great loyal dogs a home, please contact The Guardian Angles at http://www.ggarr.org/available_dogs.html.

If you can’t adopt a dog then consider making a small donation and pass along this message. Imagine if you made only a $1.00 donation and sent this message to 10 of your pet loving friends and they sent it to 10 of their friends and they sent it to 10 of their friends and they… well you get the picture.

I would love to get a call from Grace Acosta in a few months telling me that she finally got her dream, to build a Rottweiler Heaven Facility. Donating is easy; just click this link http://www.ggarr.org/donations.html and click the Donate button. Every little bit helps and all I am asking is for a little bit.

"Saving just one dog won't change the world ... but it surely will change the world for that one dog"
